Surrogacy programs in the BioTexCom Center

The surrogacy program works as follows: the genetic parents provide sperm and eggs. If necessary, donor eggs or sperm are used. The parents select the donor. According to Ukrainian law, the surrogate mother cannot simultaneously be an egg donor. This is done to ensure that the child has no genetic connection to her.

The cells are cultured to create embryos.

Embryos are typically ready for transfer in 3-5 days. They undergo genetic screening, and the best ones are selected for transfer. One or more embryos are placed into the surrogate mother’s uterus for gestation. The number of embryos transferred depends on the decision of each family.

After confirming the surrogate’s pregnancy, she undergoes a medical monitoring protocol, including tests, ultrasounds, doctor visits, and medications, until delivery.

After the child is born, the surrogate signs documents transferring parental rights to the genetic parents. The child stays with a nanny until discharge from the clinic, after which the child is handed over to the genetic parents.
