Webinar “Mitochondrial Replacement Therapy”

Mitochondrial replacement therapy (MRT, sometimes called mitochondrial donation) is the replacement of mitochondria in one or more cells to help women conceive with their own material. MRT is a special form of in vitro fertilisation in which weak mitochondria are replaced by healthy ones from a third party. They are replaced without a nucleus, thus, IP will have an absolute genetical relation to a baby.
